Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain Tow Bar Installation - 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar with Blue Ox adapters on it. A 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Your Nighthawk is gonna be one of the five main components required for flat-towing a vehicle and this be creates the attachment point between the RV and the vehicle. You have the hitch on the RV, and it attaches to the base plate on your towed vehicle, and that's gonna be the mounting point for a lot of your components that attaches to the frame of the vehicle creating a nice solid mounting point. Now on your base plate, we also have a safety chain and this is going to make sure that in case of an accidental disconnect, you're still attached to the hitch on the RV. We also have our supplemental braking system and that's going to bring the vehicle to a slower stop as you apply the brakes on the RV but you also have a breakaway cable, and that way, in case of a catastrophic disconnect, it's gonna pull that cable, putting the brakes on the vehicle and bringing it to a stop, rather than rolling down the highway. more

Now today we have this hooked up to a 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited but this is rated at 6,000 pounds, so it's really gonna open up the window as to what vehicles you can flat tow with it. Now if you have a Roadmaster base plate, not to worry there is an option available with that. And really the only difference is gonna be the arms that attach to your base plate. Now a tow bar is gonna be one of your five main components when flat towing a vehicle and your tow bar is gonna be your connection point between the towed vehicle and the RV but it connects to the base plate. And the base plate is just a solid mounting point for hooking up the rest of your components that attaches to the frame of the vehicle. more

Now this one we have here is actually for Blue Ox baseplates, so it just has the adapters for those arms but it's also available in a Roadmaster configuration. The SD is rated at 6,000 pounds, which is gonna be perfect for our Jeep Wrangler, but it also opens it up too if you're planning on getting a larger vehicle or if your vehicle is heavier than a Jeep you have up to 6,000 pounds. So it really opens up the window to your flat towed vehicle options. Your tow bar is gonna be one of five main components required for flat towing your vehicle. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at "etrailer" and today we're taking a look at the etrailer SD tow bar and we have this hooked up to a 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with a Blue Ox base plate. So we've opted to choose the Blue Ox version and that way these adapters mount up to the arms. But if you have a Roadmaster base plate, not to worry they have that option available as well. Your tow bar is gonna be one of five main components required for flat towing your vehicle and your tow bar is gonna be the connection point between the RV and the towed vehicle and it makes the connection on your base plate. And the base plate is the structural support for all the rest of your components that bolts on to the frame of the vehicle creating a nice solid contact point. Tow bar is one of five main components when flat towing your Jeep. The other ones that you're going to have are gonna be the base plate, where your tow bar attaches to, and that's just gonna be solidly mounted to the frame and be the attachment point. Your other components are gonna be your safety cables here, and that's in case of an accidental disconnect. You still are attached to the RV. more

First one on the vehicle side is gonna be the base plate. And the base plate attaches to the frame of the vehicle and creates a solid attachment point for your towbar to connect to. And our towbar, being the connection point between the base plate and the hitch on the RV is how your vehicle actually goes down the road. Now with that, in case of an accidental disconnect, you are gonna have some safety cables that attached to your safety chain loops here, that run from the hitch to the base plate. more

Now choosing tow bars is a kind of a interesting choice because there's a lot of 'em out there and a lot of 'em seem to do all the same things. And really it comes down to price point on a lot of 'em. But something I'll point out that I always recommend when choosing a tow bar is getting one that's non-binding. And what that simply means is you don't have to be on perfectly level ground to unhook your vehicle. And if you've ever had a binding tow bar, once it's locked it is very tough to get that to release. more

Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain Tow Bar Installation - 2022 Chevrolet Spark- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar on a 2022 Chevrolet Spark. Now, if you've seen flat-towed vehicles, you see the tow bar connecting the towed vehicle to the RV and they all kind of tend to look the same. But this is one that really stands out. I can spot these across the highway and that's because it has these nice LED lights and that seems like a pretty small thing, but from what I've heard, people out on the road, swear by it because when you're towing your vehicle at night, the headlights are not on. So if someone's next to your towed vehicle, this gives them an indication that it's actually just behind the RV, that way, it's not just someone tailgating the RV, they can know that something's attached and not to merge over. And that's one of many small features that make the Nighthawk really stand out in a wide range of tow bars. more

Hi, there Colorado owners! Today, in your 2022 Chevrolet Colorado we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's Falcon All-Terrain Tow Bar. You can see here that the Falcon All-Terrain does have a nice gray finish to it and it does have a lot of features of it. To me, this is one of my favorite tow bars. Now this Tow bar does have a 6,000 pound rating so you do wanna check your vehicle and the GVRW on our Colorado here is also 6,000. So we are good to go with this tow bar but if you wanted to just give yourself some headroom for potentially upgrading to a larger vehicle in the future you can get all the same features that the Falcon here has in the Black Hawk version. Now, the Nighthawk is the premier tow bar that's out on the market and it's got all the bells and whistles and overall it's just super high quality in pretty much every point. Now, the one that we have here is gonna have the ends for the Blue Ox baseplate. It's also available in the Roadmaster style, and these tow bars are gonna be identical except for the connecting points that go to your baseplate. Now, there's five main components when flat towing a vehicle that are gonna be required and the first one, starting on the vehicle side, is gonna be the baseplate. And that's gonna attach to the frame of the vehicle and become the attachment point for your tow bar to be able to pin up to it. And, that leads us to our next one, which is gonna be the tow bar, which is the connection point between the towed vehicle and the RV. more

RoadMaster Blackhawk 2 All Terrain Tow Bar Installation - 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're going to be going over the Road Master Black Hawk Two All Terrain Tow Bar, here on our 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. So the Black Hawk is really gonna be the perfect pick for the Silverado here because this is a 10,000 pound rated tow bar which we're gonna need for such a large vehicle here. So a lot of the other tow bars on the market are gonna max out much lower. Some of them 5,000, 7,500 pounds. Granted, we might be able to get away with a 7,500 pound tow bar here on the Silverado, but having that extra 10,000 pound capacity is really gonna give us peace of mind here that we're not maxing out the capacity of our tow bar with our big truck. So in regards to compatibility, this particular tow bar is gonna be specifically designed for the Road Master Direct Connect style base plates, which are what we have here. more

Hi there Ram owners, towing your 2019 Ram 1500. We're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install etrailer's XHD tow bar. To assist us with this, we're also going to be using etrailer's crossbar, which allows it to adapt for road master crossbar style base plates. You can get these kitted together or you can get these separately if you might already have one around, if maybe you're reusing some components from an old flat tow. And this is what our tow bar looks like when it's installed. This is the XHD tow bar, so it has a weight rating of 10,500 pounds, which is some of the highest tow bars that's out there on the market. more

RoadMaster Falcon Tow Bar Installation - 2009 Freightliner XC-Series- Video
Hello, neighbors! It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain Tow Bar on a 2009 Freightliner XC motorhome. Now, this tow bar is rated at 6,000 pounds, so for our Equinox that we're hooked up to today, shouldn't be a problem, and it's gonna open up that window to any vehicle to be flat towed as long as it's under that 6,000 pound rating. Now, there's gonna be five main components when flat towing a vehicle. Starting on the vehicle side, the first thing you're gonna need is your base plate. The base plate's gonna allow you to put these arms in place, and that way you can connect to your tow bar so you have that solid connection with your base plate. The connection between the RV and the vehicle, being the tow bar, is going to be that solid connection, and that's where we have our Falcon. more
